HPG/SIGGRAPH 2011 Links

I'd completely forgotten about that. Had I remembered, I would have asked if you were planning to do the same thing again.

I was initially a little wary of the talks list growing long and the real-time stuff getting 'lost' as a result, but I'll merge them together and see.

We did it in 2010 because nobody else was. I'm very happy you are doing it for 2011 - I don't know how I would have found the time to do it again this year. I'll make sure to send any links I find your way. I don't think the talks list will get very long, because most talks don't have material available online.

Slides for the course "Modeling 3D Urban Spaces Using Procedural and Simulation-Based Techniques" are now available at http://www.cs.purdue.edu/cgvla...

Excellent. Thanks Naty!

It might also be a good idea to add a "Technical Papers" heading with a link to Ke-Sen's S2011 papers page, and a "Keynote" heading with a link to the YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v....

Yes, linking to Ke-Sen's page crossed my mind again earlier after I sent him some new links. I'd also seen the keynote before and hesitated since it's not rendering related, but it's still industry relevant. I could also link to the paper abstracts bundle and video preview.

The slides for the "Google Body: 3D Human Anatomy in the Browser" talk (from the "Out of Core" talk session) are here: https://docs.google.com/presen...

Ah yes, I came across this before via the WebGL BOF page. They'd labelled it "earlier presentation", so I wasn't sure if it was the right one, but I see now that they probably meant "earlier this week", since the BOF took place a day after the talk.

Cheers!

A lot of the NVIDIA exhibitor tech talks looked interesting. They have the slides here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/s... and streaming video here: http://fullviewmedia.com/fb/nv.... Might make sense to add an "Exhibitor Tech Talks" section - perhaps Intel, AMD, etc. have material for theirs online too?

That section is nestled in there already if you look closely! I'll add the video link and check again for AMD's slides (I have a link to Intel's).

The Studio Talk "Special Effects with Depth" is now available at http://blogs.unity3d.com/2011/... - note that this is a "Studio Talk", not a "Studio Workshop" like the already linked "Fast Mobile Shaders" - perhaps it would be simplest to just change the section name to "The Studio" and list both under it.

You’re quick! (I only just spotted Kuba’s tweet.) Good suggestion on the name change. Thanks Naty!

NVIDIA's "Per-Face Texture Mapping for Real-time Rendering" shouldn't be under "Posters" but under "The Studio", also "Generating Displacement From Normal Map for Use in 3D Games" shouldn't be under "Posters" but under "Talks".

Oops. I meant to put them both in the Talks section (the Ptex one was also a talk: http://www.siggraph.org/s2011/.... Thanks!

The Studio Workshop "Introduction to Python Scripting" is now available here: http://www.chrisevans3d.com/pu...

Thanks Naty! Adding now...

Guerrilla now have a publications page, with slides & video for their CAF production session "The Creation of Killzone 3" and slides for the talk "Practical Occlusion Culling in Killzone 3".

Ah yes, I totally forgot to add these. Cheers! :)

The PPT for "Occlusion Culling in Alan Wake" can be found here: http://www.clownfrogfish.com/2...

Quite right Naty. I should have thought of that when Ari announced the blog. Thanks!

I think it's about time that I do another blanket search for new content just in case.
